Amica one of sixteen directors of Assemble, a democratically run architecture, art and design practice. Begun as an informal design and build collective in 2010 Assemble’s working practice now spans architecture and urban design, public art, research, community organisation and construction.
Where-ever opportunities can be found or made, their work attempts to be involved with with whole life cycle of a project, from brief development through to delivery and long term management. Varying widely in scale and type, Assemble’s projects are united by an ambition to make cities more humane, various and joyful places to live. Championing a working practice that is interdependent and collaborative, Assemble seek to actively involve the public as accomplice and agent in the on-going processes by which cities are made.
