Poet, novelist and artist Ben Okri’s internationally acclaimed and multi-faceted work includes The Famished Road (1991 Booker Prize winner), Dangerous Love, In Arcadia and Astonishing the Gods; as well as several collections of short stories and essays, and three volumes of poems, the latest being Wild. His works have been translated into 26 languages and have won numerous international prizes including the Commonwealth Writer’s Prize for Africa, the Paris Review Aga Khan Prize for Fiction and a Premio Grinzane Cavour. Okri also wrote the film script for the film N: The Madness of Reason. The recipient of many honorary doctorates, he is a vice-president of the English Centre of International PEN and was presented the Crystal Award by the World Economic Forum. He is an honorary fellow of Mansfield College, Oxford. In his parallel life as an artist, Okri’s work spans painting and performance. His latest novel is The Age of Magic.
