Richard Sennett

Richard Sennett has explored the cities in which people live and the labour they do there. He teaches at the London School of Economics and at Harvard; he has also worked for the United Nations for nearly three decades. In London he is the founder of Theatrum Mundi, an organisation which explores the relation of urban culture and city design. He is the author most recently a triology consisting of The Craftsman (2008), Together: the rituals, pleasures and politics of Cooperation (2012), and Building and Dwelling: ethics for the city, which will appear in 2018.
