Miracle Podcast Ep2
The Miracle Podcasts are hosted by Tabitha Thorlu-Bangura and Lucia Pietroiusti and were recorded live at the Serpentine Galleries’ Miracle Marathon, 2016.
Tabitha Thorlu-Bangura was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and raised in the even more exotic locales of south-east London. She is a DJ and radio presenter, championing the most forward-thinking music from the global underground. Working closely with artists and innovators in visual culture throughout her career, she oversees art direction for her own audio-visual projects and is also one of the brains and hearts behind the leading music platform NTS Radio.
Lucia Pietroiusti is Curator of Public Programmes at the Serpentine Gallery. Her co-curated projects include theSleepover in 2010, the Serpentine Gallery Memory Marathon (2012), The Studio residency series and other sound and literary programmes. Edited publications include the art and literature journal Boulevard Magenta (2008-2011) and Poetry Marathon (with Nicola Lees, 2012). Pietroiusti studied critical theory at Birkbeck, London and gender studies at Trinity College, Dublin. (July 2013)
Holly White works across mediums including, video, performance, cast bronze, glazed ceramics, weaving, knitting, sculpture and installation, Holly White presents a body of work that is intriguing, personal and cumulative. Using leitmotif that are collectively known and faded, along with works that integrate memories and the subconscious, the space has been transformed into a place that evokes possibilities of what might be. Holly White suggests and proposes both a new present and a new future whilst re-imagining how one looks at the past.
