Simon Schaffer teaches history of science at the University of Cambridge. He is a member of the Science Museum Advisory Board and contributor to radio and television programmes on the history of sciences. In 2014 he published La fabrique des sciences modernes (Le Seuil, Paris). His most recent co-edited work is The material culture of enlightenment arts and sciences (Palgrave, 2016).
Mark Cousins was educated at Oxford and the Warburg Institute. He has for a long time taught at the Architectural Association where he is known for his Friday lectures. These have continued for thirty years and he is now editing them for publication. He has served on the Visual Arts panel and the Architecture panel of the Arts Council and has worked as a consultant for Zaha Hadid. He held a visiting professorship at Columbia University and is currently guest professor at Southeastern University in Nanjing.
Hans Ulrich Obrist (b. 1968, Zurich, Switzerland) is Artistic Director of the Serpentine Galleries, London. Prior to this, he was the Curator of the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris. Since his first show “World Soup” (The Kitchen Show) in 1991, he has curated more than 300 shows.
Obrist’s recent publications include Conversations in Colombia, Ways of Curating, The Age of Earthquakes with Douglas Coupland and Shumon Basar, and Lives of The Artists, Lives of The Architects.
